A new challenge

Hello Friends! I hope everyone started of this New Year on a positive note. So far so good for me.
I thought it was about time that I completed a challenge card. This challenge is from Scrapbook Stamp Society, I had never even heard of this challenge blog before and when I found it I was like, Cool! I needed a new challenge blog. I have had to delete some of my challenge blogs from my side bar. They have pretty much closed down so I have been on the hunt for some new ones. If anyone knows of any good ones, Please share. One of my New Years resolutions was to work on doing more challenges and being more active on my Blog. I have so neglected it.
So, onto the challenge. This one was to use Hearts and Flowers.Well, how easy is that? I think I captured that in my creation. Basically, I made an envelope from the bigz scallop envelope die. I then punched bunches of hearts with my Nestabilities scallop hearts dies and also using the Stampin Up! Love you much stamp set and punch. It's like the envalope is bursting with hearts!!
For the flowers, I added them and then added some distress stickles to all of them to add some sparkle and I also used stampin Up's version of stickles in Cherry Cobbler onto the heart that says"Be Mine". Oh, and if you can tell, I embossed some of the hearts and the envie with multiple embossing folders. I just love adding dimension! The designer paper I used is called Posh and I am not sure who it is by but it is double sided and full of hearts!! So, there you have it. I hope you enjoy my creation and this week I am hoping to get in at least one more challenge before I leave for CHA. When I return from CHA, I will be holding a sweet bit of candy on here so after the 1st. of Feb. dont forget to come back and visit!!!

The bling in the middle of the bows

Hello Friends, First things first, I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday and a very Happy New Years! I cannot believe it is already 2012. I only have a year and a half and my only baby boy will be graduating High School. They grow up way too quick. Anyways, I have been MIA for quiet a bit. Sorry bout that. I have been so engrossed in Swap-Bot. This tag is for a Valentines shabby chic and pink Tag swap that I am hosting. I really really like Pink and Bling and this tag shows that. It is a #8 size tag and what I did was first did 1 coat of Pink acrylic paint then I did a coat of crackle medium and once that dried, I painted over that with White acrylic paint. That is also the same thing that I did with the die cut hearts(which are card board by the way).

The bow I made was with my wood bow maker. I then added the "bling" to the middle of the bow. Isn't it purty?

I will probably be pretty absent at least for the rest of this month, I am going to CHA again this year at the end of the month and I have a few swaps that I need to finish before I leave. I think I am in like 12 swaps : )! If you haven't checked out Swap-Bot yet, do it, You will get sooooo addicted!! I will see you all soon

Hello Friends, As you can tell, I have been gone for quiet a while. Well, I really don't have an excuse except that I have been so engrossed in Swap-Bot that I have totally neglected my Blog. I started a group on Swap-Bot and have been trying to think of swaps that I can hold in the group. Please, Come on over and check it out. Once you get started, You just cant do 1 swap. At the end of this post, I will share some of the awesome swaps I have been in!

I have also been trying to get ready for the up coming Holidays. I have also really slacked on my Christmas cards. That's is going to change this weekend. I have a Cookie exchange to go to on Saturday but for the rest of the weekend I will be creating. Instead of mass producing the same card, I make about 7 or 8 different ones. I just have to be difficult. LOL!

So, Onto the creations that I wanted to share with you all, I really hope you all like them and don't forget to share your opinions. I love to hear what you all have to say! So for now, I will see you all real soon!

A swap and Swap-Bot

Hello all, Well here I am with a project that I have been working on. This specific Tag is a swap that I am in on Splitcoaststampers. It is a "Love" theme. I really like the way they turned out. Most of the embellishments used on these tags is Tim Holtz. I love love love his products. I am also lovin the shabby chic,Vintage look as well. I completed 7 of these tags and in return, I will get 6 different tags back. the only thing is these are not due until Jan 25th. LOL! I was on a creative roll so I took advantage of that!!

The really really cool part of these is the ribbon. I actually tea dyed fabric and then stamped on it with Tuxedo black ink as you can see in the bottom right picture.

Now, I want to bring up another great site for swaps. Swap-Bot. I would love to see some of my friends come and join my group over there. I have a ton of swap Ideas that I am sure you will all love. My main idea right now is that of an altered cigar box filled with (I haven't decided on an amount yet) stamping/scrapping goodies. that sounds like fun right? Or maybe Themed ATC's? Maybe even hand made flowers? The one good thing about swap-bot is that most of the time, You only have 1 partner. The only time you have more than one partner is when the person who is hosting the swap creates a swap with multiple partners. I just love this site so much, I want all of my creative friends to join, There are swaps for every interest under the sun.Come on over and check it out and maybe even join. Some ATC's, Oh how I love Tim Holtz!!!

Hello Friends, Sorry I have been gone for so long. I have been working on lots and lots of swaps from SCS and Swap Bot. I have the swap fever. So, with that being said, my main projects have been ATC's. These 2 are from a swap that I hosted. Making your ATC using Tim Holtz products. I have been going nuts with the Tim Holtz. All of his stuff is so cool! The base of these ATC's is from a 12X12 stack. The "key to my heart" ATC includes grunge paper,small antique key rock candy distress paint on the heart and the heart is also embossed with a swirls EF. The bow at the top is fabric that I tea Dyed. I tea dyed a huge batch of tags and fabric. I love the Vintage look!!!

I added an arrow with a brad into the heart. I just really like how both of these ATC's turned out.

Hello my friends, I am so excited for you all to see the project that I just completed. OMG, OMG, It turned out so darn cute. The only thing that I wanted to do on it but couldn't was use Distress lace stickles on some of the flowers, For the life of me, I cannot find my little bottle of the Distress stickles. I mean I have like every color under the sun and that is the one I cannot find, doesn't it figure? LOL! So, This lunchbox type container, I got for $1.00 at the flea Market and it is exactly what I needed. I am in a swap on Swap Bot called "Think outside the JAR Whimsey swap" So basically we are to decorate and fill a container(anything except for a "JAR") with goodies! I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the "Lunch Box" but I already wrapped everything in tissue and put it inside the box. I cant tell you what is in it cause my partner might see and I want it to be a surprise. So, just looking at the picture, do you think she is going to like it? I am mailing it off on Monday so she will have it by Wednesday, I will let you all know what she thinks!! SO, I am off to get it all packaged up to ship out so I will see you all again real soon!!! ATC_World 6 For 6

Happy Friday Friends, I am just finishing up a 6 for 6 ATC swap that I am in. ATC's are all the rage right now. I Love Love Love ATC's, collecting, creating, swapping, etc. So, this swap is for the Yahoo group ATC_World They have some pretty fun swaps in that group. This swap is "Use those scraps" and it is a 6 for 6 swap. We all have those scraps that we just cant throw away, You know what I'm talking about, right? Well, All 6 of my creations are from not only Card stock scraps but designer papers as well. It took me a little while to get the Mojo rolling but I completed all 6 and now it's time to mail them off to the Hostess on Monday!! I cant wait to see what I get in return.

Happy Saturday night everyone. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. We are here in Sunny Northern Cali. We hit 90° today so we had the air on all day long and tomorrow is going to be a pretty warm one as well. Sunday is my favorite day of the week. Craig and I hit the flea market. He actually goes at 6am. and then comes home and gets me at about 8:30( i like to sleep in a little!) Hopefully I will score some good finds tomorrow. I will share so wish me luck!

So, onto my creations. I have been making alot of ATC's(artist trading cards) lately and I have also been in alot of swaps over at Swap Bot. Hello Friends, I have been gone, once again for a while. I really haven't been too creative lately. I was in some what of a funk so hopefully, starting with this card, I can keep the creative juices flowing. I am involved in a bunch of swaps, not only at SCS but also at www.swap-bot.com. Love love love that site. If you enjoy swaps, Then this is the place for you. Right now, I am again in a Hat pin swap and I wanted to make a special card for the hostess. She also hosted that last Hat pin swap so I wanted to show her how I appreciate her work on another swap. These hat pins are so much fun and so addicting too. I am also in swaps for ATC's. Now those are addicting as well.

Hello Friends, Just a quick post to share some swaps that I am participating in. This is for "Hat Pins" Oh my goodness, these are so fun to make and oh so easy too. Book Marks made with large paper clips and bottle caps. You cant see it real well, but on the book marks, look around the edge of the bottle caps. I used Pearl Mica flakes mixed with some distress in in "peeled Paint" I love love love how those turned out.Another swap I am in is the bottle cap phone charms. I am really happy how the bottle cap swap turned out. I cant wait to see what I get in return.
If any of you every want to swap, Please let me know as I love to do swaps. There are so many great ideas out there. One place that has some great swaps is www.swap-bot.com I am in like 3 swaps over there and 3 swaps on SCS. I think I am addicted! LOl!

Swap meet weekend

First, I want to tell you about a weekend that DH and I went on a swap meet/garage sale weekend in Petaluma. We stay at the KOA in our Trailer(home on wheels) and plan the sat. around going to local Garage sales which the night before we leave, I go on Craig's list and plan our route and then Sunday is spent at the Swap Meet. so, for Garage sales, I found a few goodies like this really cool "Ball" jar, I only paid $1.00 for it. . You can see it on the Pepsi crate in the picture . We also found the chair that you see me sitting in, Can you believe that chair was only $5.00. Craig didn't want to buy it but I knew that was a great deal and the chair is so comfy so I am glad we got it.So that's about as exciting as our Garage sale day got so, Onto the Swap Meet. We did score some really cool stuff like that blue and white shelf/cabinet and those really cool Pepsi crates. We only paid $2.50 ea. on those. Score!!! Whenever we do this trip. We always line up all of our goodies and take a picture of it all. I love to scrapbook trips like this. This has become a yearly thing for Craig and I as this is the second year we have done this. In between the garage sales and the swap meet. We also take a drive to the beach via the country roads. We love to see and take pictures of the run down barns in the middle of peoples property. So beautiful! Don't you think so? What is really fun is when you run into a barn sale in the middle of no where. We love when that happens.

So, there is our weekend. We just love the swap meet and garage sales so much we are willing to travel for them! All for now my friends. I have some creating to do and want to share my latest creation with you before the end of the night!!

A challenge card

Hello friends. Long time no see, I really have no excuse because I have been sitting at my creating desk every night and just too lazy to post. So sorry but I do have some things I want to share with you all. First, A challenge card that I did complete last night. I really love this card. I made it for a friend that is hosting a swap and I wanted to incorporate the swap "item" into the card. So, the sketch is from CLP Challenge Blog. So, for my take on the sketch.

Now, see the "stick pin"? That is a swap I am in. I actually made that one specially for that card and as a little bonus for the swap hostess. I will get into the stick pins in another post so stay tuned.

As for the supplies used on this creation, My color scheme is Old Olive,Blush Blossom(retired SU!) and smooth white. The stamped image is that of "Inkadinkadoo" with some bling added to the chandelier from "Kaisercraft" Thank you sentiment is from "The stamps of life" "Thanks 4 one year" stamp set. Stamps inked with Chocolate Chip Classic stamp pad. The bow is "Twill Tape" from Stampin Up! and the DP is from the Butterfly garden collection from Pink Paislee and Finally, Stick pin made by be and added to the bow. Finished card is 5.5 X 5.5.

Hello Friends, This is going to be a really quick post as I really have to let my arm rest. I had originally created this card for a challenge but because of my going slower than usual, I didn't finish it in time to add it to the challenge. SO, I hope you enjoy it. I did have fun making it as it was the first thing created in almost 2 weeks. I was starting to have serious withdrawals, LOL! So, Enjoy and I will see you all real soon!!

Long time no see

Hello Friends, It has been way too long and I have missed you all so much! I have had a pretty insane month starting with My sons High school baseball banquet. I was in charge of the photo collages of the players and making a pasta dish to feed bunches of people then onto the last day of school, well, that wasn't too busy but it only meant that I was days closer to my surgery of which I did have on June 15th. Alls I can say is Yikes and Ouch! It was an out patient surgery but it was a surgery none the less. I am in serious recovery mode and they say that recovery can be anywhere from 4-6 months. I wont be starting phys. therapy for 8 weeks. I have Epicondulitis(tennis elbow) and when the Dr. went in, he not only added an anchor to the bone in my elbow but he also cleaned up the tendons. I was in a splint for 8 days and let me tell you, I was not happy for 8 days. Since I am right handed and this just happens to be my right elbow that is injured I had absolutely no use of my right arm for 8 days and even now that I have the splint off, I am still pretty limited to what I can do with my right hand. I have to be really careful even when I am stamping. We don't realize how important our limbs are until we cannot use them so don't ever take it for granted. I now know that I will not take it for granted.

For the 8 days, I sat on the living room floor using my husbands lap top( scrolling with my left hand) and just explored tons of blogs and when I saw and idea that I liked, I jotted down the website with my left hand. My hand writing looked like a 1st. graders writing. My 15 year old son got some good laughs outta me but that was all I could really do. I also explored some really really cool blogs on DIY and Thrift store finds and re purposing. There is a whole new world out there for me to explore. I am all about DIY'ing and how I love love love going to thrift stores and garage sales.

SO, when you get a chance, check out the awesome blogs in my side bar and go and check some of them out. There is so much to be seen in every one of them!!

Well, since I have been blah blah blahing, I will let my arm rest and let your eyes rest as well but I will have 1 challenge card to share with you all. I hope you all enjoy it and hope you come back often to see what I am up to.

I'm lovin the look

Hello Friends, It's just me. Hopefully this post will post to my blog ok. I am having some issues with Blogger. Maybe it could be me but I'm thinkin not, So anyways, Onto this lovely creation I made. Lately I have been into the Vintage,shabby chic look of things so when I started to make this I knew exactly where I was going with it. To start things off, I used cardboard, Yes, your average cardboard box and ran it through my Big kick with my Stampin Up! Top Note die cut. I then tore off the top layer of the card board.

I mixed some acrylic white opalescent pain with a pink re inker and then sponged some of the mix all over the top note piece. I put that aside and went to work on some of the other items I wanted to add to the "Top Note" I used my scallop heart nestie and die cut a heart in some DP and then embellished the heart in pink bling. I also added some Brown prima flowers and added some Distress stickles to the flowers. I also added some ivory lace and a die cut Bird from Stampin Up! I then added it to the top note.

I added a piece of Making Memories Je t'adore DP and put the sentiment "Cherish your dreams" and topped that with a fabric Brad in brown. I am working on another version of this card but with more embellishments. I will share as soon as I am finished with it. I hope you enjoy what I have created and will let me know that you were here to visit!

Blogger is all messed up

Hello everyone, I dont have anything to share with you all today because My blogger is all messed up right now. I cannot delete,add,change and so on, anything in Blogger. I am surprised that I am able to post this. Is anyone else having any problems? This has been going on for 3 days now. Hopefully this will be fixed soon! Color Throwdown Challenge!

OK, This is going to be a quick post because, I have already written this post once and Blogger closed out on me so at this moment, I am a teensy irritated soooooo, This is a challenge that I completed for The color throwdown and these are the colors that we are supposed to use, All of the card stock that I used is from Stampin Up! except for the white which I purchased at Kelly Paper here in the San Francisco Bay Area. The stamp set used is from The stamps of life. So with that being said, Here is my submission into the challenge. CLP Challenge

Hello Friends, Here I have a challenge card that I want to share with you all. This challenge is from CLP Challenge Blog. I totally love doing challenges. I find alot of times, My Mojo just kinda slips away and I so desperatly want to create something beautiful so these challenge blogs help me with that. For this creation I used a Stamping Bella image called "Charlotte Ketto" Instead of using my Copics on this image, I used my Prismacolor pencils with mineral spirits and a blending stump. I haven't used my pencils in so long that I thought it was time to break em out and use em. I also love the blending capabilities with the mineral spirits with the prisma pencils. I have a few other images that I used my Prisma's on that I will be sharing with you all real soon.

So, some of the other details of this creation are, The card stock colors I used are Basic Black, Pretty in Pink and smooth white. The DP is called "Alissa so cute" from Bo Bunny. The sentiment is "Hello" from Tiny Tags(Stampin Up) and I added a little teeny tiny gem to the flower in front of Hello. You cant really tell but the larger panel in Pretty in Pink is embossed with an embossing folder and the black piece is punched out with one of my edge punches. I also used my scallop circle nestie and hole punched all of the scallops around the circle. The finished card is 5.5X5.5

Crazy 4 Challenges, flowers flowers everywhere!

Hello again Friends. I created this card and I absolutely love it. I wanted to create the trellis effect with vines and flowers going thru it. I actually created this card for no reason and then I was looking at some challenge blogs and realized this one would work for Crazy 4 Challenges. My colors are Pretty in pink, Cert. celery, Bashful Blue and Smooth white. I also punched out the flowers with my flower punch and I used a Martha Stewart punch for the Trellis's. The Butterflies are a sizzix Stampin Up! die. This card is not a standard A2. It is actually 6.5X4.5. I think this creation is super pretty, I haven't put a sentiment on it as I can do that when I am ready to use the card for something special. What do you think? Well, all for now. Time to watch Extreme couponing. Oh how I love that show and oh, how I love my coupons. I too am a coupon junkie!!! I will see you all real soon!

2 Challenges to share

Hello Friends, How is everyone doing? I have been pretty un productive the last 2 weeks.I again am off of work for epicondilitis(or aka, Tennis elbow) I will be having surgery withing the next 3 weeks and recovery is possibly 8 to 12 weeks. This for me sucks because I will have to go back to work in Sept. for the beginning of the school year. I just have to really take it easy all summer long. I will be extremely limited in my creative endeavors but will try to at least do some coloring of which will not put any strain what so ever on my hand or wrist. I will keep you all posted on my elbow situation but for the moment, I have a challenge card to share with you all. This is for 2 challenges. The color throwdown of which the colors are And for the sketch challenge, It is from "clean & Simple Stamping" This was a pretty simple sketch to follow and since I havent been around too much lately, I wanted to have something to share with my friends.

The sentiment I used "Just a note to say Hello" is from American Crafts stamp collection. The brown ribbon is actually a scrap piece from my ever growing ribbon drawer and all of my card stocks and Inks are from Stampin Up! I hope you enjoy this little creation and I hope to share some more things with you all before the big surgery day.

Well here I am friends. A day late but that's ok. I completed my 2nd. sketch challenge this week and it's only Tuesday. Yayyyy!
This sketch is from Mojo Monday. Don't ya just love the Mojo Monday sketches? They are so fun and for me they always get me thinkin!
I actually did minimal stamping on this one. The sentiment and the floral on the tiny tag is really the only stamping I did. My color scheme is Bashful Blue, Mauve Mist, Wild Wasabi and white. The DP is from American Crafts and what I did was cut out some of the flowers on the DO and added pop dots for some lift. The white ribbon was in my stash and was already tied into a bow so that was easy! I attached the tiny tag into the center of the bow with a paper tagger. That is my new little toy. I have been looking for things to make that I can use that nifty little toy!

Happy Sunday my Friends. Well I am starting off the week with a challenge card. This one is for Sunday Sketch & Stamp

I haven't been too productive lately. Have you ever had those days where you just sit there and look at all the pretty creations that your friends are making but you cannot come up with a darn thing? Well, That's where I have been lately. I have even gone off and worked on other projects just to get the creative juices flowing. Right now, I am sewing, scrapping, trying to decorate my home with the shabby chic/Vintage feel. I think I need some more projects. LOL! So, I was pleasantly surprised at how this creation turned out. This is the first time I have used my new stamp sets ( Tiny Tags from Stampin Up! & "Sew Cute" from My little shoe box) My color scheme is Taken with teal, Chocolate Chip & rose red. I also used my tag gun to attach the tiny tag sentiment and added some gems to the form. I am not sure of the DP as it was some scraps in my stash and just seemed to work! Everything kind of just fell into place on this one. Well, That's about it for me for tonight. I will be back tomorrow to work on a Monday Challenge so I'll see you all then! Have a great Monday!!

Sketch Inspiration

Hello my friends, Today I am sharing something different with you all. I really have every intention on catching up on my scrapbooking. I have been married almost a year and This is only the 2ND. page I have finished. Isn't that terrible? LOL! Well, For this layout I used a sketch from a wonderfully inspirational site called Sketch Inspiration.

Take a look at the sketch above. Isn't it just fun? Well, as you can tell, my Wedding colors were Brown/Pink & Ivory so that is the reason for my color scheme. I also used my oh so wonderful and just beautiful Glimmer mist in "Tattered Leather" & "Cadillac Pink" on the flowers. Oh how I love the Glimmer Mists. messy but sooooooo much fun!! I added silver brads to the middles of each of the flowers. Sketch Inspiration has a different sketch challenge every week so I am going to try and make it a point to complete at least one page a week. I don't think I can do anymore than that so One a week will be good! So, Let me know what you think, I love to hear my friends comments!!

Hello Dolls, It's Saturday night and I am doing what I totally love to do on a Saturday night(well besides going out on a date with my hubby) I'm playing! We have had a few yucky weather days so it has been nice to be indoors creating. As long as it's decent weather out tomorrow so hubby and I can got to the flea Market. We love love love the flea market. I find so many awesome Scrapbooking and stamping items there. Also, I love Vintage home deco stuff. Anything that can be spray painted or sanded or altered in any way to become a decorative piece in my home, then I am all for it! So, onto my challenge card. This one I did for 2 Challenges. The first being the one and only, Friday Sketchers. I always love they're sketches. This one was a real challenge for me but that's what it's all about, right? The other challenge is a color challenge from Simply Create, Alford. This is the first time I have ever played along with this challenge blog but I really love the colors. The following items were used to complete this creation! Summer sun, Pink Passion,Taken with teal and white card stock. DP by Scenic Route and 6X6 Delovely pad from Cosmo Cricket. Stamp: Flower Power by Elizabeth Bell For SCACD and sentiment from Short & Sweet by Stampin Up! I also used Spica pens on the flowers on her jeans and Mulberry paper mini roses from Recollections. Hello again, Here I am with a couple more challenges to share with you all. First off, Friday Sketchers, They are one of my most favorite sketch blogs. This was a super duper fun sketch to play with. The image I used is KiKi LaRue from C.C. Designs. Isnt she just adorable? I colored her in with my copics and I added some Bling for her necklace.

Now for the 2nd. challenge. A color challenge from ColorQ I just found this challenge blog and already love it not to mention, The inspiration was really helpful! Arent they the most prettiest colors?

For the sentiment, "Thinking Of You" That is from The stamps of life "Flowers2share" from The stamps of life"

I embossed all of the pieces in this sketch with different embossing folders. I used very little DP and the DP I did use is from a 6X6 Stampin Up! Stack in Concord Crush which is on the main panel of the A2 size card.

So, there you have it my friends. Sometimes I sit in front of my computer and browse at all of the challenges that are out there and by the time I am ready to create, It's time to create. Happy Wednesday all, I am here to share with you all a sketch challenge from CPS- Card Sketches.

It is time to start creating for Easter. Right now, Here in Northern Calif. It doesn't feel like Spring. We have had some hard hitting rain. You would think it was in the dead of winter. Although I do love this kind of weather, Sunshine every now and then would be a good thing.

For my creation, The image I used, I haven't the slightest idea who makes this image. It has a signature but I cant make it out, so if you know who this is made by, Please let me know. The DP I used on this is from Echo Park Paper Co. and is called Sweet Argyle. The "So Eggcited" sentiment is from bunny4Easter from The stamps of life.

Some color and a sketch!

Hello all my creative friends! I am so excited. I completed 2 more challenges and for some reason, these were pretty challenging for me. The first challenge is from "Paper Romance" and that challenge was to use lots and lots of color. I knew exactly which DP I was going to use. my "DeLovely" 6X6 mini deck. I used 4 different prints. with 3 of the pieces, I cut them out using my nestabilities. The 4th. was the striped main background piece. For my image, I used a Stamping Bella, Mismatched Ketto. The 2nd. challenge is from Create4fun

I colored in my image with my Copics. My sentiment is on a punched oval (Wish Big)and this is the best part, You can barely see but I attached the sentiment with a paper tagger. I have never used it and I was totally excited to finally use it. I know, silly but for me, I was uber excited! It doesnt take me much, hehehe!

My card stock colors are Yoyo yellow, bashful blue,bucharoo blue,Gable green and smooth white.

Once again, I have been MIA except, I do have have something to share with you all tonight. I entered this creation into 2 challenges. The first one is for Color Throwdown. I always like they're challenges. The colors are I dont have Daffodil Delight, so I used So Saffron. Now, The sketch Challenge is from CPS-Card Sketches

Now this was fairly easy and I am glad because I am feelin a little rusty, LOL! The "Happy Spring" stamp is from Stampendous. I colord in the word "Spring" with misc. gelly pens. I love the glittery ones! I punched the row of daisies out with a Martha Stewart Punch. I also inked the edges of the white card stock with Ditress ink in blue.

Hello all, So sorry I have been MIA. I have been totally busy lately and haven't been doing much creating. I have however made a quick Thank you card for my dear friend Gina. She is one of those people that always makes sure you are included in any paper crafting festivities. I went to CHA under her and cant believe what an awesome time I had there. I picked her up a few goodies(she wasn't able to make it) And I wanted to give her this Thank you card with the goodies. I hope you enjoy my creation!

Happy Valentine Eve all, With Valentines being my most fave Holiday, I have made a creation in honor of the most prettiest, pinkest, redest, loviest holiday evahhhhh! I really really love the way this creation turned out. For my image I used a most adorable Winter Marci from LaLa Land Crafts. LaLa Land are one of my new faves! They are so much fun to color. The sketch I followed is from Friday Sketchers.

My card stock colors used are Pixie Pink, Smooth white & Basic Black. I used my nesties Shapeabilities "Pendants" Decorative elements and Big Scalloped Ovals. See the scallop Black circle in the back? well, that pink deco element piece? I used bubblegum pink glimmer mist on that. You cant really tell too much but it does add a little bit of sparkle! The DP is from Bo Bunny and is called Crush cutie pie. Do you see the corners? I punched out the red heart side of the DP with my corner scallop punch and I also punched out some adhesive magic mesh and added it to the Scallop corners. I have been trying to use some of the many supplies that I have purchased over time and the magic mesh is one of those items. That is one of my new years resolutions, To try and use all of those supplies that I just had to have, I think we all do that. We buy it with every intention of using it but then it gets put into a drawer. I am really bad about that (grin! wink!) So anyways, my final touch is the pink,black and white paper roses around the sentiment.

The sentiment is a rub on from "The paper company.

Hello everyone, I have been so MIA for so long. Not only did I attend the Winter 2011 CHA but I also was on a committee for my sons High School Athletic Boosters Crab Feed. The Crab Feed was last week and CHA was the weekend before that so my weekends have been pretty tied up. Whew! I think I am ready to jump into some challenges. The Sweet Stop Challenge

Happy Tuesday friends. Just a quick post to share my creation that I made for the Sweet Stop sketch challenge. This time it was with a spin. The spin was to use dry embossing. I totally love my embossing folders. The one I used here is a Tim Holtz "Swirls" embossing folder. That is the one accessorie that I couldn't live with out. My embossing folders. So fun!!!

The dress on the hanger and the sentiment are from an Inkadinkadoo stamp set. The bottom left with the ladies face, That is stamped not only on a clear button but also on white cardstock and I lined the face up and used liquid glass to attach the button to the cardstock. It is a really simple but pretty creation and I just wanted to share with you all. I am going to head out for now. Time for me to call it a night. The paper Variety Challenge

Hello Friends. I hope every one's New Year has been wonderful so far. Mine so far has been good. You know, the usual, Work, sleep, eat, on and on. LOL!
Well, Here is a creation I made for Valentines Day. I have made about 10 of these so far for people at work. I absolutely love valentines day. Pink is my favorite color. That's why when I saw this challenge over at "The Paper Variety" which was to create a project using pink, I had to play along and this weeks sponsor is really cool too. It's Robyn from "My pink stamps" If you have never seen her videos, You have got to go and check them out. She is so adorable. I am really excited that I get to meet her at CHA in Los Angelas at the end of this month.
So, for my creation, I used the tutorial I found on Splitcoast Stampers. Easy Peasy! I don't remember the maker of the DP that I used, It was a double sided though with the stripes on one side and the words on the other. The card stock is Bazzill in Pink.

First completed Challenge of 2011

Happy New Year everyone. We are almost 1 hr. into 2011 and you know what I did for my new Years eve? I completed a sketch challenge! I had a great time doing it too. I don't do much partying so I am perfectly happy being home stamping and scrapping! I had the tv on in my craft room and listened to some LMN movies(lifetime movie network) and created. That is my perfect Friday night!!! So, onto the challenge.This sketch challenge is from Friday Sketchers. I have kind of slacked off in the sketch dept so I am starting the New Year off right by completing a challenge. My creation is for Valentines day. I have been buying the Valentines papers and stamps and such like a crazy person so time to put them to good use.

The image I used is from Kraftin' Kimmie. All of the DP I used is from a Bo Bunny 6X6 stack called "Crazy Love collection"(I love Love Love those 6X6 stacks) The color scheme is Real red, Choc. chip and whisper white. The sentiment is a clear sticker from my stash and the mulberry mini roses are from Recollections. I love these flowers. They are at Michael's and you get a pack of 30 for $1.99. So totally worth it.

So, there you have it. My 1st. creation of 2011.

A Friday Sketchers challenge

Hello everyone, Wow, Did Christmas just come and go or what? I knew it would. I wish Christmas Day would last more than 24 hrs. Just to be able to visit with and hang out with the family more. The only one thing that makes me ok with Christmas being over is Valentines day is just around the corner. Now that is my most Fave Holiday. I love the pinks and reds and hearts and glittery things. I feel so much more creative when it comes to making my Valentines day cards. So, from now until the end of Jan. you will see lots and lots of pink!

This is my first Valentine challenge card that I have made this year. This sketch challenge is from Friday Sketchers. They always have great sketches and this one was no exception. I went to the scrapbook store today and did a little stocking up on red and pink and glittery papers and just cant wait to use them. On this creation, This DP is from Bo Bunny "Crazy love fudge & Flowers. Pink and brown are the best combo and this is what this DP has. Lots of pink and Brown. the colors I used for this are Pretty in pink, Choc. chip, so saffron and smooth white card stock. I embossed the so saffron piece with my Tim Holtz flower vine embossing folder. The "All my love" stamp I used is a Heidi Swapp clear stamp.

There you have it. Another sketch challenge down.

Wow, Only 3 more days until Christmas. Where does the time go? Well, I think this will be my last Holiday card for this year. This card was created for 2 challenges. The color Throwdown and Our creative corner. For The color throwdown, The colors are Riding hood red, Choc. chip/Kraft & Cert. celery. These colors work well together for the Holiday Theme. For "Our creative corner" the challenge was to add color and depth to dry embossing. For this, I used my brayer to add Choc. chip ink to my "Swiss dots" embossing folder. That is my most fave EF so I just had to use that one. Not only did I add it to the riding hood red Top note, I also added it to the punched corners. I also embossed the center cert celery "Labels one" nestie with D'vine swirls and once again used my brayer and colored the swirls with choc. chip.

There you have it. 1 creation, 2 challenges.

Charisma Cardz challenge with a Twist

Hello all, It's been a while since I have created anything to share with you all and I have missed you all so much so here I am with a cool challenge creation that I created for Crazy for Challenges & Charisma Cardz Challenges For Charisma Cardz, there is a twist. No image, only sentiment. Sooo, this is what I have come up with. This was easy as I didn't have to do any coloring or shading, I just needed to find a sentiment that would take up the space on such a large card. This is a square 5 1/4 X 5 1/4. I love this DP that I used, It is from "October Afternoon" and is called Fill the stockings. I love this DP as there are so many colors on the backside that I can coordinate it with many other papers! I like it when that happens. I am so bad with putting colors together.
I used my Nestabilities Beaded circles ad my smaller scallop circle to place the sentiment on. I also punched some of the peppermint candy looking circle out of the DP an added them around the sentiment to add a little something around the sentiment. The base of the card is in White and the other card stocks included are Chocolate Chip & Green Galore. The sentiment is stamped in choc. chip.
The sentiment "A very Merry Christmas to you" is from Stampin Up "Best Yet" stamp set.

CPS- Card Sketch challenge

Good evening all. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving week. I am on break for the week because of the Thanksgiving Holiday then it's back to work for less than 3 weeks, then it's of for Christmas break for 2 and a half weeks. Gotta love working for the school district!!
So, because I have the whole week off, I can stay up as late as I wasn't creating. I love it when that happens. I have been in kind of a lull this week so hopefully this will get me on a roll. This challenge is from CPS-Card sketches. They always have great sketches to play with and this week was no exception. Basically my color scheme here is Blue and white. The stamp I used is from "Frosty" by Stampin Up! This is a really old set but I totally love this stamp set. Lots of things you can do with good ole Frosty!! I printed the sentiment off of my computer"warm winter wishes" and used modern label xtra large punch and my scallop oval punch.The DP is a no name?? Seriously, there was no man. manuf. name on it. but it is just snowflakes in blues and whites. It was perfect for my creation! I then punched some snowflakes with my Martha Stewart snowflake punch in Bashful blue.
Oh, and I added chunky glitter on the ground where frosty is standing. So, there you have it. My contribution to the CPS challenge. What do you think? I would love to hear your comments. Teacher Appreciation Card

Happy Saturday Night all. I don't have a challenge card to share with you all tonight, Just a creation that I made. My co worker needs 5 Teacher appreciation cards for her daughters teachers so she asked me if I would make them for her. Well, I will never ever turn down a request to make cards. I went out to one of our only scrapbook stores in my area and was on a search for some apple paper. Well, This is what I found. It is from We r Memory Keepers and has blue and green and orange apples with glitter on them. Really pretty paper.The Thank you sentiment is from Inkadinkado. The apple is from one of the Studio G line. My color scheme is Buckaroo blue,Basic Black,Riding hood red and Pear pizzaz. I used my Swiss dots embossing folder on the basic black and also on the buckaroo blue that I also punched with my scallop corner punch. SO, that's pretty much all I have for you all tonight. Hello everyone. So Sorry that I have been MIA for a bit. I have had a crazy busy week even though we had a 4 day weekend, I had my sons 2 Birthday parties to take care of. We always do one family party and 1 friends party so I had to do some cooking for both so I have spent alot of time in the kitchen for the past 3 days. Whew, I'm pooped!

So, onto the challenges. The first is for Sketch Saturday, Oh how I love the sketch Saturday challenges. One of my total favorites.
The next challenge was from Color Throwdown. Now, when it comes to color challenges, Color throwdown is the greatest! I am horrible with colors so this is an awesome tool for me. The colors I was to work with are Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede & Kraft.

So, did you notice the flowers I made? They are from the Stampin Up! scallop circle punch. I saw these done on You Tube by Scrappingaway. What a great and really easy tutorial. Go and check it out. I think the flowers made a perfect accent to my creation. I used 2 embossing folders on this creation as well, Swiss dots(which is my fave EF) and D'vine swirl. The image/sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo "Warm Holiday Wishes" and nested in 2 layers of "Labels 4" Nestabilities.For the final touch I added some buttons(from my stash) into the middle of the flowers. Hello everyone, I don't have any creations to share with you all tonight, I just wanted to share some photos of my sons Homecoming. I cant believe he is a Sophomore already. He is my only one so I want him to stay little forever but since that cant happen, I just have to embrace his growing up and try and savor every mom and son moment. This was kind of one of those moments as he was getting ready for the Homecoming dance. It really makes me sad at how fast they grow. Not to mention, He is one of those boys that gets embarresed by his parents(as if we weren't cool or something) Which makes his father and I do really silly things in front of his friends even more LOL! OMG, I love this site that I have found. It is called Papercraft Star and they are sooooo fun! They have challenges, prizes and some wonderful inspiration. This challenge is an inspiration challenge from the photo you see here. What pretty soft fall colors, I hope I captured the feel in my creation.
This is also a sketch challenge from Sketch and Stash challenge BlogThese are the supplies I used.

DP is SK Meadow stripe

Close to cocoa,Sage shadow,Vanilla and white card stock. The flowers are made with 7 scallop circle punches and a brad added to the middle and bring each scallop circle bunched up to the middle. Punched corners and embossed with my Moroccan screen embossing folder.

Well, I wanted to get this posted before this evening. Tonight is my sons High School Homecoming game and I will be enjoying the festivities and trying to recapture my youth(Joke) LOL! I love to take pictures of any and all of his school events, He gets a little irritated, you know, Because Mom just isn't cool. Makes me want to go even more! LOL! Papercraft Star Challenge #18, Thank You Theme

Well, Hello everyone. I can finally say it is starting to feel a little like fall here in Northern California. Oh how I love fall. I especially love it when it gets dark early, My family thinks I am nuts but I feel like I am more productive at night. Silly! Silly!

Anyways, I want to share with you all a challenge that I completed today. This was a challenge that really did challenge me too. It is from Papercraft Star, What a fun place to go with some really neat challenges. This specific challenge was "Thank you theme" and you must use dry embossing ,Use a cricut or other die cut and use metal on the project. Well, Here is my project. I am really happy with the way it turned out. I used my Cricut "Doodlebug" cartridge and printed it out with Jillibean Soup DP(Chicken Noodle is the name of it. ). My card stock colors are Riding Hood Red, Going Gray & Daffodil Delight from Stampin Up! I dry embossed the Going Gray with D'vine swirl Embossing folder and the Daffodil delight panel with My ultimate fave Embossing folder, Swiss Dots. For the metal, I added 6 brads.

So, There you have it. My creation for the Papercraft Star challenge. I had so much fun with this challenge, I cant wait til the next one!!

Mojo Monday Challenge #161

Happy Tuesday friends. I am sharing with you all here yet, another challenge that I completed. If it wasn't for challenges, I would probably have a pretty darn boring blog. I love love love challenges, If I ever get into that creative rut, I turn to a challenge and it just goes from there. So, with that being said, Mojo Monday challenges are one of my most fave challenge blogs.

For the base of the card, I used Vanilla. The next layer is Brocade Blue. The DP I used was a scrap from my scrap stash and I haven't the slightest idea what it is called or who it is made by. Sorry bout that one, but if you know, Let me know.) The ribbon is "Bluebird" from Stampin Up! The little yellow tag is one that I found in my die cut drawer, It looks as though it is close to Summer sun. I used the sentiment "Thank You" from the Short & Sweet stamp set from Stampin Up! I added some bling to the tag in green. For the flower, I layered some summer sun and punched it with my oval punch, Then the next layer is a scallop punch in the DP and then a final layer in Brocade Blue and added a brown prima flower with a green brad in the middle. Oh, and I punched the DP with my eyelet border punch. So, there you have it. My creation for the Mojo Monday challenge. I hope you enjoy my creation! Hello everyone, Just a quick post to share with you all the goodies boxes that I have put together for a Halloween Party that my family is going to on Sunday. I found this great Tutorial on You tube ,The tutorial was given by "StampwithTami" and she also has the tutorial on her blog. How darn cute are these? I made about 20 of them. Happy Friday all my stamping friends. I am so looking forward to a fun filled weekend!

How about you all? Any big plans? I started of my weekend by completing a challenge over at Charisma Cards challenge Blog. This challenge was to create something with more than 2 folds. So I created an accordion fold card. My color scheme on this was Pumpkin Pie, Bravo Burgundy, Old Olive and summer sun. I sprayed the green flowers with Olive vine glimmer mist. I wish the camera would have picked up the sparkles of the mist but it is there! My DP is from Echo Park and is called "Playground". I also used a bit of Stampin Up! DP. The sentiment is from "Best Yet" stamp set from Stampin Up! and I put it on Vanilla card stock that I cut out with my Labels 4 nesties. The flowers are also on scallop circle nesties. I finished it off with 3 brads (from my stash) in the bottom right of the creation. There you have it. My multi fold creation. Happy Thursday friends. I have 2 more challenges that I want to share with you all. They are from Inspirational Card sketches & Color Throwdown. For "Color Throwdown" the colors are . These were great colors to work with!
For the flower in the center I used my Stampin Up! Die Flower, Daisies # 2. I love daisies so this is by far my fave die. The DP I used is from a 6X6 Stampin Up! pad. This pad has Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzaz, Peach Parfait, Concord Crush & Poppy Parade. I love the 6X6 pads because there usually isn't any waste and it's perfect for card making. I did add a button in the middle of the flower and added some hemp twine into the button holes.

So, there you have it. My 2 challenges.

Some more challenges

So it is now Sunday evening and I don't know about anyone else but is this June weather or what? I think we hit 80° here in Concord, Calif. today. I am so ready for fall weather but I think we are going to go right into Winter. So, With my air conditioning on, I worked on completing some challenges today! The first one is from CPS( Card Positioning Systems)

but I also did a color challenge on that same creation. The color challenge is from Colour Create Challenge Blog. The colors were Pink, Green and Ivory. The DP I used is from My little Yellow Bicycle, the Sharon Ann Delightful collection. I also took plain white flowers and used my "Tattered Angels" Glimmer mist(Pink Taffy). I finished of the pink and green flowers with a silver brad. As you can also see, I added some bling to the ivory piece(I used my Labels Nestie) with the sentiment which is from "Whimsical Words" from Stampin Up! So, there you have it. ABC Challenge

Hello everyone, Well, it is Sunday night and I have one more challenge creation to share with you all then it is off to be for me (it is 11:15pm.) I am pooped!

This challenge is from The ABC Challenge Blog and this challenge was to create an Easel card. Easel cards are so darn cute and easier to make than you may think. The image I used on this cutey patootie card is from CC Designs. I lovey love love CC Designs images. So fun to color in and so darn adorable. Don't ya think? See how I added the ribbon around the sentiment. Now we all know we have tons of ribbon scraps so I thought this was a good way to use some of them. Although I would have to create about a billion cards to use all of my scraps but, Hey, It's a start! LOL!

The DP I used is from Echo Park Paper Co. It is called "Sweet Summertime" by Crystal Wilkerson. I absolutely love this paper!

Another Challenge

Happy Sunday everyone. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I completed another challenge card today. This one is for 2 challenges. One of them is Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and Oh my goodness, I love love love these stamps! So darn cute!
The challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie was to make a celebration card and that is what I did. Mine if for a Happy Birthday. I colored her in with my Copics and you cant tell too well, but I colored in the cup cakes with my Spicas. I just love those Spicas. My DP is that from a 12X12 stack and my card stock colors are Lovely Lilac & Melon Mambo from Stampin Up! and White from Wausau.I also used my corner punch and punched out 4 corners and added them to the Melon Mambo. I also embossed the melon Mambo with my Traffic Jam Embossing folder.
For the 2nd. challenge, It is a sketch challenge from Sketch Saturday. I had so much fun with these 2 challenges. Now, Who to give the card to? Hmmmm, when is your birthday?

CPS Sketch

Happy Wednesday everyone. Hope you are all staying cool wherever you may be. I wish fall would actually get here to Northern Calif. I am tired of these 100° days. Ick!
So, here I have a sketch from CPS(Card Positioning Systems). This was a fun and pretty simple challenge. I figured if Fall wasn't going to be here, I should create some fall themed cards. Hint Hint Mother Nature! LOL!
For this one I used a stamp from one of my most favoritist stamp sets from "The Stamps Of Life" I love love love all of her monthly stamps. I get a new set around the 1st. of every month, I just love Happy Mail, Dont you? For the DP I actually used a Halloween paper pack from Wal Mart. and my card stock colors are Glorious Green, Only Orange (From Satmpin Up!) and white(from Wausau)
I printed the "Happy Fall" in Word and added some green gems(sorry about the picture quality) you cant really tell that they are green but that's what they are.
I hope you enjoy my creation, there are many more to come and I cant wait to share with all of my friends!

Sketch from Friday Sketchers

Happy Monday all, I have another Challenge creation that I put together for you all. This one is from Friday Sketchers. I did something different with this creation. The 3 flowers in the left hand corner of the card, They are from DP and punched with scallop punches. I punched out 8 scallop circles for each flower and and put a green brad in the middle of each of them and then kinda just bunched them up around the brad and before I attached them, I kinda separated each layer to make the flower. I saw this on You Tube(my lifeline!) What do you think? You like?
the supplies I used for this creation are as follows:Rose Red & white Card stock. DP is Cottage wall from Satmpin Up! Top Note Die from Stampin Up! Sizzix scribbles swirls die. Green brad(in center of flowers)

Mojo Monday Challenge

Hello there friends, Well, It is Tuesday and I have completed another challenge card. This sketch challenge is from Mojo Mo nday. A fun and pretty easy sketch might I add. I decided to go Halloweenie with this one as I got my monthly stamp set from The stamps of life at the beginning of the month and I just needed to use it. The stamps of life is a fun club to assure yourself that you are going to get Happy Mail at the beginning of every month. If you haven't seen her stamps before, you have got to go and check it out.
I stamped the ghost image on black card stock with a Craft white ink pad and added the googly eyes for some dimension. So darn cute! The punch I used is a Martha Stewart border punch(the checker punch) For the scallop circle with the ghost in it and the sentiment, I actually had those from last year and thought they would fit perfect for this creation. The card stock colors I used are Lovely Lilac, Basic black, only orange from Stampin Up! and the white is from Wausau. There you have it. My creation for Mojo Monday. Dad's 80th. Birthday

Hello Friends, Happy hump day everyone, I hope you all are having a great week this far. I cant believe we are already half way thru September. Next thing you know, It's going to be Christmas. Yikes!!
Well I have a couple of projects that I want to share with you all. My Dad's 80Th. Birthday is tomorrow and he is an artist. If I ever need to get rid of stamping magazines or catalogs he is the first person to say, Ohhhh, I'll take them. He does pencil drawings and some of his work is just amazing. When he was in college he won many art contests and even in his work(before he retired) he was the person they would call to do pencil drawings of anyone who was retiring and those would be presented to the retiree. Pretty cool stuff.
So, I had to create something cool for him. He loves to go to the book store and buy books with interesting photos in them so I went to his favorite book store(1/2 price books here in Concord) and got him a gift card, so with that, I needed to make a Gift card holder. This holder is pretty cool as I got the idea from a friend of mine(Thank you Polly!) It is made from a TPaper roll. Covered in the same paper that I used on the card and I embossed the tag with my Stars EF. I added some fibers to add some splash of color to it and there you have it. So easy and so cool looking!
As for the card, I used an image from "I brake for stamps" I colored the senior in with my copics and also used my spicas(on the ribbon)
I have totally neglected all of my "I brake for stamps" rubber and my Dad has the awesome sense of humor so I knew he would totally appreciate this image and with the look on the seniors face, I though "Happy joyful Birthday" (From Small Saying by StampinUp!) was the perfect sentiment.
My color scheme was Going Grey,Ruby Red & Vanilla from Stampin Up! The DP is by Sandylion. I have also used my embossing folders on the grey and vanilla panels(spots & dots and Stars)
So, there you have it. Dad's 80Th. birthday present and card. I cant wait to take it over to him tomorrow. I think he will get a chuckle out of it!

Sketches For you Sketch-A-Thon

Hello everyone. For the last few days, I have been busily at work completing some Pre-challenges for the Sketches4U "Sketch-A-Th on" The theme for the sketch-a-thon is Fall or School theme.

So far I have completed 3 pre-challenges. There is so much more fun set of for the next 3 weeks over at Sketches4U, You don't want to miss all the great sketches and Awesome Talent. They have Nikki Sivils & Cherie from Sassy Littl e sketches and Liz Qualman will also be providing a surprise sketch revealed on Sept. 25th. This sketch a thon will be going on starting on Sept. 10th. until the end of September so you have lots of time to get over there and have some fun with all the great sketches.
My card sketch challenge & creation will be out on Sept. 18th. So come on by and play along.

So, onto my takes on the 3 pre-challenge creations. There is a Fall Card, A 12X12 School Layout and a School themed tag.
For my tag, I used Dark Blue Stickles to make the "A" I did it in both red and dark blue and I really likes the Dark Blue the best.

Tag Supplies used: Night of navy for base of tag and Cert. celery. yellow and green star brads from my stash. red rick rac. The DP is used is from a 12X12 pack, I am not sure of the maker.The Die cut apples is cut from a 12X12 Laser cut piece of card stock that I also used on the 12X12 layout.

Supplies used for 12X12 LO
12X12 Laser die cut apples, 12X12 blue polka dot 2 sided multi color stripes by "My minds eye". and the 8"Eighth Grade" from Reminisce. Red polka dot just a random piece from my stash.
I also added the school books below the right picture which is a metal charm that says ABC,123.

For my Fall Themed card, Cardstock used is rich razzleberry,and pumpkin pie. DP used is from a fall/Thanksgiving themed pack. The stamp set I used is called "Thanks to fall" From The stamps of life. I added a button in a fall color with some hemp twine.

Friday Sketchers Challenge

Wow! This was a fun one! I had so much fun creating this card. I made this a Halloween creation for Friday Sketchers Sketch challenge. I am pretty limited on my Halloween stamps so I decided to use just a ghost and embossed it in Black and added googly eyes. The ghost image is from "The stamps of life" monthly stamp club and this was the set for September. It is a great set with 26 clear acrylic stamps. for the DP I used some awesome Halloween paper from BasicGrey. You will see some great challenge cards where I am going to use this paper. It is double sided and just sooooo Halloween. I love it! My card stock colors are Mellow Moss, Pumpkin Pie & Dark purple.
The Happy Halloween sentiment is an orange acrylic piece that I had in my embellishment stash with "Happy Halloween" embossed into it. I added misc. ribbon around the edge of the acrylic piece and a purple gem brad to add some dimension. For my finishing touch I embossed the panel behind the image with my "Spots & Dots Embossing folder and added brownish orange adhesive bling to some of the "spots".
There you have it. My first Halloween creation of the season. My how time flys. Wasn't it just June? Where did the time go?

Here we go ladies and Gents, I completed 2 more challenges. A sketch challenge from The sweet stop, Sketch challenge Blog & Color Throw down. Oh how fun.

The image that I used is "Missmatched Ketto" From Stamping Bella.

I have been using this image quite a bit. I just love the "Ketto's" from Stamping Bella. To me, they are really fun to color in and I can get them done really quickly. Not to mention, they are totally adorable!

So, onto the creation. I used DP's from Basic Gray and all of my Cardstocks are from Stampin Up! I also use my Nesties in the scallop oval and my Embossing folder in Swiss dots. The stamp sentiment is from "Whimscal word" from Stampin Up! For my final touch, I added some flowers from my stash, I don't work alot with flowers but I like the touch that they add so I may be purchasing more to work with! So, Let me know what you think, I always love to hear my friends comments. Off to create some more so I will be seeing you all real soon!

Just a random Birthday card

Good evening all, It is now 11:30pm. on Tuesday evening. I am such the late bird. I feel at my most creative late at night, I dont know why. Well, anyways I needed to put together a Birthday card for my sister as her birthday is on the 23rd. and she lives in Virginia so that means I shpould get it out in the mail to her like, hmmm, today? oops, I guess it will be going out in tomorrows mail so I hope she gets it on time.

Woo Hoo, 2 more challenges this week, That makes 4 for me. Yayyyy! I really really love the challenges. Sometimes I get so stuck that the only thing that saves me is a color and/or sketch challenge. For the first of these 2 challenges, It's a color challenge from "Just for fun Rubber stamps" and the colors to use are Red,Kraft&White. Easy Peasy It definitely gave me some practice with my Copics. I used only 2 shades of red on The Greeting Farm Image that I used. They are R39 & R22. I paper pieced 2 of her shopping bags and the other I colored in with a red Spica. Aren't Spicas great? I am all about the sparkle!

For the sketch it is from "Sketch Saturday" . I just love the sketches from Sketch Saturday. Always fun! I added some prima flowers from my stash just to add a little something and I like how they look. I also added lots of red brads. some shinyness(is that how you spell it?) Hmmm? Well, anyways, here is my creation, I hope you enjoy it and I will see you all real soon!

Happy Wednesday everyone. Well, I am trying to get in as many challenges as I can before the weekend. Craig and I are going camping and spending the weekend going to the areas swap meet and yard sales. You know I find lots and lots of stamping supplies at yard sales. Really, You would be surprised at the things that people get rid of. One time I bought a brand new Carl Cutter still in the box for $2.00. For that weekend, that was my best find. I have found some really good deals but shhh, don't tell anyone cause I don't want any competition. LOL!

So with that being said, I wanted to post my creations before the weekend. The first challenge is for "Color Throwdown" and the colors to use are Elegant eggplant, Always artichoke & Soft suede. Once again, Not my normal colors that I would use but that's what I like about these challenges. I am using colors that I wouldn't normally use. The other challenge is from CPS-Card sketches. You can see my creation below. The stamp set I used is from The Stamps of Life. I am a member of the monthly stamp club and absolutley love it! I did use my scallop border punch to punch each color on the side of the card and also at the bottom of the card opening. For my finishing touch I added bling to some of the flowers. I embossed the flowers with my swiss dots EF and attached them with some pop dots. I hope you all enjoy my creations as much as I enjoy creating them. Well I am off to get some things done before we leave on Friday but I will be seeing you all real soon!

Hello everyone, Well, another 2 challenges in 1. I kinda like doing them that way. I feel like I am getting more done! The sketch is from Mojo Monday and isnt it such a great sketch? The color challenge is from Color Throw down. As far as the color Throw down challenge goes, I was going way outside of the box. These are 3 colors that I never work with so I was totally at a loss as to what to create so I went out on a limb and made a total layered flower out of the 3 colors which are Summer Sun, Old Olive & Tangerine Tango. I used the Stampin Up! Bigza die flower, Daisies #2 and just kept layering. I also die cut the little butterfly from Stampin Up! and added some orange glitter to it. I used my D'vine swirls and swiss dots embossing folders and the Stampin Up! Scallop trim border punch on the white(you can barely see it) For the finishing touch I got into my stash of misc. buttons and added it to the middle of the layered flower. I am really happy with the way this creation turned out. What do you think?

Here I have 2 challenges in 1 for you tonight. The first challenge is from "Colour Create Challenge" and the colors are Hot Pink, Warm Orange & Saffron. Really pretty colors when they are put together. The sketch challenge is from "CPS" Card sketches. I didn't use any stamped images on this one so Sometimes if I don't use an actual image as my focal point, I find it difficult but this was pretty easy. I really liked using my Martha Stewart daisy edge punch. I just love daisies so when I saw this punch, I had to get it! I think it fit rather nicely into this sketch. What do you think?

A little of this & a little of that

Hello all my blogging friends. I have been quiet busy with a few different projects. Between selecting all of the Wedding photos that I want and birthdays and concerts it has been such a great summer. Busy but great! We go back to school on August 26th. So I am trying to pack as much in as I can before I have to go back to work. So, for my first project, I blinged out my ATG adhesive gun. I didn't even know you could do that until I discovered You Tube tutorials. There is so many things to do on You Tube. So check it out, This was your average red ATG gun. I am so happy with the final result. I still want to add a little more bling but I wanted to share what I had done so far.

Onto my next project, I had to make a Birthday card for my niece Lexie. She turned 12 and I wanted to make her a really special card. For the image on this I used one from "The Greeting Farm" I used my Copics and also Paper Pieced her shopping bags. I used my Spicas on her bows and added scrap ribbon that I ran the Bling buckles thru.

I absolutely love this creation. So Girlie! The DP I used is from a DCWV Happy Birthday Stack.

For my next creation, This card is for my best friend Kathy who is getting married next weekend in Reno. Brandon and I are making the trip up there to be there for her special day. Her colors are Eggplant and an almost light lime green. I used Gable green and Elegant eggplant. On the Velum, I stamped in white ink the heart vines. I used my Embossing folders to emboss each layer of the cake for some texture and added bling. I also plant to make her a wedding shadow box with her colors that way all she has to do is add pictures. It is already Wednesday so I better get my butt in gear with that one. LOL!

For my final activity, (This far)Craig, Brandon and I went to go see Cinderella(an 80's hair band) and the headliner was The Scorpions. I am a huge Scorpions fan, Heavy metal and rock are my thing! It was a great concert but The Scorpions never disappoint me. They Rocked! Hopefully when I can get some scrapbooking in, I'll get a layout done on the concert. Soooo much fun!I am on the far right and Brandon is in the back. The others with us is (next to me) my beautiful neighbor Christina and all the way to the left is Beth and the one on the other side of Christina is another friend of Christina's. What a wonderful summer it has been!!

Hello everyone. Here is a quick post for tonight as it is already midnight and I am pooped. I just wanted to share this creation that I made for my Sister in law's sister. She just had a baby girl and I wanted to make sure that they knew we were thinkin bout them. I found this creation on Splitcoast Stampers that was created by Holly McMillen.

I couldn't wait to create this card. I immediately fell in love with it!

I think it turned out adorable! I hope they enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

These are the supplies I used:

Pink Pirouette,White & So Saffron Card stock, Swiss Dots & D'vine swirl Embossing folders, Martha Stewart pink gingham ribbon and Martha Stewart adhesive ribbon. 1 1/4' circle punch Stampin Up! Modern Label Punch and for the ovals, I used my Creative Memories cutting things.(what are they called again. You know, the blue plastic oval thingies, LOL) The stamped sentiment is from Stampin Up's "Short & Sweet"

Sweet Stop Challenge

Happy Friday my friends. I have been pretty busy working on challenges, I have alot of catching up to do and I'm having a great time doing it. This challenge is from The Sweet Stop. I haven't done one of their challenges is a while and I had this new images I wanted to use so this was the best for the image(IMO). So starting with the image, Her name is Flower Power and she is designed by Elizabeth Bell for Susana's custom art & card design. Isn't she adorable? When I got her in the mail the other day I couldn't wait to create! Susana has some of the most adorable stamps so you have got to go on over and check out the site!
The colors I used on this are Cert. celery, Rose red and pink pirouette. The DP is from a 6X6 pack by basic grey. On the sketch it had a bow and I just substituted it with some Prima flowers in pink and green. It came together quiet nicely.

Color Throwdown Challenge

Hello everyone. Well I am back and am on a mission to complete a challenge a day. Now whether I actually do that or not is another thing but it is my goal. After my wedding in June and the honeymoon in early July it is now time to get back to the real world. I am however on summer break until late August so I should have plenty of time to do some creating. Yayyyy!

So, with that being said, Here is the challenge from Color Throwdown and also a sketch challenge from Techno Stamper. The colors are Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black, Kraft & Baja Breeze. The DP I used is from one of my many Cosmo Cricket 6X6 decks, "Early Bird"I just love the 6X6 pads. They are my new found love! I just love paper so much that I had to buy smaller pieces, I am slowly running out of room for my paper alone.

I punched out the butterflies with my new Stampin Up! butterfly punch and I used my Embossing folder in Tiny Bubbles to emboss them. I also used my EF in Swiss Dots on the Kiwi Kiss Card stock. Then onto the Kraft Card stock, I used my Leafy Branch EF on that. Gotta love texture! For my sentiment, I used the Thank You from Short N Sweet from Stampin Up! So what do you think?

Here are a few photos from the wedding. We go and pick up our professional photos tomorrow, I cant wait to see them. That is my son Brandon(the blonde kid) and we had our own special dance. Hello all, Well, the count down is on, I have just under 4 weeks until my Wedding! Oh, I am so excited and so nervous and a little stressed out all in one. Time has just flown by and that wonderful,exciting and beautiful day will be here. So, I have been a little absent in the blogging area but I will definetly make up for it. After the Wedding,(which is June 26th.) I am going to have a special surprise so make sure you come back cause I want to make up my absence to you all!! So, with that being said, Here is a challenge that I just completed this evening.

The theme was to create a boy birthday card with a color scheme as well. The colors I used are More mustard, Tempting turquoise and Buckaroo blue. Gable green, or something close to Gable green was also in the color scheme but I realized after I had made the card that I forgot that color. Oopsies! I made this card for my nephew whose birthday isnt until late July but I figured I would have it on hand and actually be on time for his birthday. The stamped image I used is from "I Break for stamps" This is a great stamp set for boys. It has a couple of the shadow images in skate boarding and a bunch of skate board sayings like "Olie" "Halfpipe" "180" and so on. Really teen age boy appropriate!
So, I hope you enjoy my creation and hopefully I can get a some more challenges in before the big day!

This creation was made from the inspiration of "The Sweet stop" sketch challenge Blog and also The Color throw down challenge blog. The image I used is by Kraftin Kimmie from Susana's custom art and card design and her name is Francesca. Isn't she just so darn cute? All the card stock that I used is from Stampin Up! I colored Francesca in with my Copics. I am still trying to get the hang of those Copics but practice makes perfect! If you can see it a little bit, I colored in the cupcakes with my Gelly pens. Those are the coolest pens. I love shiny and sparkley and these pens do just that! I hope you enjoy what I have created and now I am off for a weekend of camping and hopefully some beautiful weather here in Northern California. Hello all, I hope everyone is having a wonderful Mothers day weekend. As for me, I am staying up late and sleepin in Sunday morning. I love sleep, it's so refreshing! Anyways, Here are some projects that I made for a couple of friends. These were so easy to make and make cute little Thank you gifts! I found a super duper easy Tutorial on Splitcoast given by Beate Johns. She is so awesome, If you haven't seen her tutorials on Splitcoast Stampers, You have to go and check out all the great Tutorials she has. All the supplies used are Stampin Up! except for the Daisy stamp. I used a stipple brush to add a little brown in the middle of the Daisy. Well, Onto do some more creatin. Have a Vary Happy Mothers Day to all you Moms!!

Hello everyone, This is going to be kinda a quick post tonight but I wanted to share a creation that I just completed and it is for 2 challenges. The first is a sketch challenge from Card Patterns: Weekly sketch Blog. This was a pretty simple sketch(and I love simple!)
The second challenge was a color challenge from The color Throwdown and the colors were Old Olive, Purely Pomegranate,Pale Plum and Barely Banana. The stamp set I used is from "The stamps of Life" By Stephaine Barnard.

I have a hard time with color combos so I kinda just played around with this color combo. Hello my friends, Hope everyone has had a good week so far. It has been rainy and cold her in Northern California. Today we even got some hail. I just don't know where our spring weather is? Do you? LOL! Well, I completed this sketch and cannot figure out where I saw it at. At the beginning of each week, I print out all the sketch challenges so I have them right in front of me to work on and this one I forgot to write the blog name that it came from so it is just going to be one that I am sharing with you all with no challenge behind it. I hope you enjoy my creation anyways! I once again used a Greeting Farm image. I just love those images. Just adorable! Here are the supplies used.

Hello all, Here I am with another challenge card for you to check out. This one is by Sketch Saturday Wow, I just cant get enough of the challenges. I thought I had lost my Mojo for a minute but when I got started on this one, Voila, I came up with this. My image is from "The Greeting Farm" Isn't she adorable? I colored her in with my Copics and added some Spicas to the flowers. I love the sparkly! The DP I used is from a DCWV stack and my whole color scheme was the Pinks and Browns as I love Pink and Brown together! The sentiment is from Stampin Up! and the pink Prima flowers are from my stash. I added some white pearl accents around the edges. Happy Wednesday my friends. Wow, Spring break is almost over then it's back to work but, I am going to enjoy the rest of my week off. We are having some wonderful weather here in Northern Calif but that is all supposed to change next week. They are talking a weeks worth of rain coming to us. Mother nature just cant make up her mind. Anyways, Onto the Mojo Monday Challenge. I completed this one last night and the image I used is that of Miss Anya. I colored her in with my copics and with my watercolor pencils. Can you see her shopping bags? I paper pieced them with some scrap DP. Too cute! I used Pixie pink, basic black and white (from Wausau) and the DP is from My Minds eye.

Tag Challenge on Sketches4all

Hello all, I haven't been on here in a while. Spring Break is here and we are getting ready for Baseball Tournaments. Brandon has tournies on Wed. Thurs. Friday and Sat. So it is a busy week but that's OK cause we love baseball which is the theme of my tag. I have a specific scrapbook of Brandon's baseball all the way back from when he was 4. (he is now 14). This tag is going to be perfect for his last years baseball pages. He was on the A's and even played All Stars and his team also made it to TOC's (Tournament of Champions) I have never made a tag and this was quiet the challenge over at Sketches4all but it was so much fun! I just wanted to keep adding things to it but I also wanted to make sure you could see all the elements that I used. My color scheme was that of the Oakland A's which is either Grey and green or yellow,grey and green(with white in there too) It depends on if it is an away game or home. I embossed the yellow stars with my swiss dots EF(my fave) and the stickers I used are from Jolee's. I cant wait to use it in a layout!I will share that layout as soon as I complete it as well. Happy Friday everyone, I have been a little busy tonight. We have a baseball double header tomorrow so I'm trying to get all the stuff ready to make the boys lunch in between games tomorrow. It is supposed to be a beautiful day here in Northern Cali, so awesome for some baseball!
I also worked on and completed another challenge. I found this really cool web site called Sketches4all. It looks like it is going to be some fun. Well, it also took me to the Sketches4u blog. Well, there is a sketch challenge going on over there and I just had to do it and this is what I came up with!
So what do you think? I have been trying to get some Easter cards done so I can get them sent out by Tuesday so this was really nice. The stamped image I used is from Stampendous and for the longest time I wasn't sure how I was going to use it but it worked! I used my Copics, Gelly pens and Spicas to color it in. The pieces of square DP is from Cloud9design from the Baby Girl collection. I also embossed the Gable Green base with my most favoritist EF "Swiss Dots" You will see me using that one alot(even though I own like 12 EF's) The ribbon is a scrap from my stash(actually from Stampin Up!) but it was just the right size so perfect! Mojo Monday 131

Hello everyone. Boy oh boy, Have I been busy. Baseball season is in full swing and my son is playing Junior Varsity and Freshman so we have a bunch of games during the week and on the weekends. I am also the team mom for the Freshman team and I am also making the Thank you cards for all of the coaches, Freshman,JV and Varsity. That's like 16 Thank you cards. I am so excited about that. Granted, They don't need to be completed until June but I want to get them all done way in advance so I can really put my heart into them instead of trying to put them together quickly and looking icky! I want to impress!
So with that being said, This creation is for our Junior Varsity Team Mom. I did it in our school colors(Green and Gold) so I really hope she likes it! I used the sketch challenge from Mojo Monday and it is a larger card being 8"X5", I need to make sure It is big enough for all of the team to sign. The stamp set that I used is from The Stamps of Life and is called "Thanks 2 You". This is an absolutely adorable set and I think it goes well with the colors. Both the green and the gold card stock are Called Gemstones"The crown Jewels of Card stock". Really textured and really pretty. I have to get me some more of that stuff!

Mojo Monday Week 130

I'm baaaaack! Another challenge completed. This one from Mojo Monday and color challenge from Splitcoast Stampers. The colors being Rich Razzleberry,Orchid opulence,Old Olive and a neutral(I chose white)And dessert was added with the D'vine swirls Embossing folder. I think I'm on a roll. My 3rd.&th. challenges this week, Woo Hoo, I'm so excited. For this challenge I used the stamp set Thanks2You from The Stamps of Lif e. If you have never seen them, Go on over and check them out. She has a monthly stamp club and on the 1st. of each month, I get a new stamp set shipped to me. The great thing about this club is the shipping is only $1.00 and I get them in like 2 days so I know by the 4th. of every month I will have a new stamp set to play with and they have all been really cool stamp sets. The DP I used is Cottage wall from Stampin Up! I added some bling around the circle(I just love Bling!!) and there you have it! Here I have another challenge that I completed today. I always love The Sweet Stop challenges. They really get the creative juices flowing. On this one I also used an image from The Greeting Farm. It's called the Miss Anya Collection(3 piece set) I think they are one of my new Faves! So fun to color in with my Copics. I used my Spicas on the flowers that this adorable girl is holding in her basket. The DP I used is from Treehouse Memories. The flower is a from Prima and I added a gem in purple to the glittery flower. The sentiment is also from The Greeting farm.(My Guy Ian) I also embossed the purple base with my D'vine swirl EF. Hello all, Here it is, another great sketch challenge from Friday Sketchers, This one was really fun and I am so excited I got to use one of my new stamps that I just got from The Greeting Farm. I colored her in with my copics and I added some shimmerz onto the flowers in her basket. Isn't she purty? The DP I used is from My Minds Eye from "Pretty Please" Spring pack. I also used my Nestie in "Labels One"

Cupcake Craft Challenge

This weeks challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge was to create something with flowers on it! Well, This spring card was perfect for this challenge. This is the Tris shutter fold card. I have made one of these before but it didnt turn out quiet as nice as this one turned out. I am really happy with it. For the challenge, you are to use flowers in your creation somewhere. It could be flower stamps, paper flowers, any kinda flowers. So that is what I did. A couple of the flowers that I used My Stampin Up! demo Gina punched out of felt. Vary cool idea! Thank you Gina!!! The stamped image is from Stampendous and says "Happy Spring"I colored it in with my Copics,spicas and gelly pens. The DP is Cloud 9 design. I hope you enjoy my creation!

Hello all, First let me say, I am feeling soooo much better after the cortisone shots as 1 of the 2 cortisone shots I got actually helped sooooo much, I cant even tell you how nice it feels, but the 2nd. shot did not help so much so I am thinkin I am going to have to possibly get another shot but that's OK, I just want to get better and get my butt back to work. I also want to thank those that left me messages to wish me well. It made me feel so good and to know that you all that love this craft as much as I do understood my frustration with not being able to play! So with that being said, Here is a challenge that I completed last night. It took me quiet a while to complete it only using my left hand for the majority (except for the coloring with my Copics) of it I am pretty impressed with the outcome! This challenge is from Sketch Saturday.

Hello all, Well, I don't have any creations to share with you tonight because, I am out of commission for a bit. I had 2 cortisone shots in my right elbow this am and my elbow is killing me. I am actually trying to type as much as i CAN WITH MY LEFT HAD AND LET ME TELL YOU,(oops, sorry that is in caps, I don't feel like re typing it in lower case) it's not too easy so excuse the typos. You don't know how bummed this makes me. I love to do challenges and I cant do them, sniff! sniff! pout! pout! I will however try to take a look around and find some blog candy that is out there in blogger land and share what I find, I feel like if I don't post to my blog for a long period of time, I get totally bummed. I miss you all so much and all the wonderful challenges and great friends that I have out there in blogger land. Do I sound depressed? I think I am, I have been off of work for 30 days now trying to get my elbow and wrist into tip top shape to get back to work and to be able to create as much as I love to but darnit, this is just P*&&%# me off, sorry bout that. I wanna stamp and I wanna stamp and create NOW(can you see me on the floor kicking and screaming?) Well, Time to rest my painful elbow(does anyone know how long this pain lasts from the cortisone?) Please tell me 48 hrs. I would be so happy! Well, all for now. Please think of me when you are stamping and do some creatin for me!! Hugs to all my stampin buddies out there!!

Sketch Saturday

Happy Sunday all my stamping friends. Another challenge completed, This one I started last night and finished it today. This creation is for my son's PaPa ad today is his Birthday so I needed to make a card for him to give to PaPa. This is my take on The Sketch Saturday challenge. I hope you enjoy it! I made a card similar to this one for my DH Gramma ( I mean making it with the Balloons) but totally different colors.
Here are the supplies I used: DP: My Minds Eye "Confetti" Celebrate "Brothers" Zig Zag/Dark Blue Paper. YoYo Yellow,sage shadow and white CS Swiss dots & Mosiac Embossing folder(for the balloons and the YoYo yellow panel) Yellow embr. floss and a Blue bow from Martha Stewart(pre tied of course because I cannot tie a bow for nothing! LOL) The Happy Birthday Sentiment is from a Hero Arts clear set that I have .

The Pink Elephant challenge

Hello all, Wow, It has been a while since I have been on here. I am so sorry for that. I have gone thru a little lack of creativity the last week or so. I have actually been at my desk every night but just couldn't get those creative juices flowing so tonight I am on a mission to get at least 3 challenges completed and posted to share with you all. No ifs ands or buts about it so onto the first one. This one is from The Pink Elephant, What a fun site and this weeks challenge was tons o' fun! I started with a image from "Me and my big ideas. This was the first time this image has even seen ink and it was super duper easy to color in. I have like 5 or 6 of the M&MBI's stamps and they are all so darn cute, I'll share those with you all a little later .
The suplies I used for this creation were:
DP from My Minds Eye, image stamped in Memento's Tuxedo black, cardstock used is Chocolate chip,Riding hood red, Pretty in Pink and white. Image colored in with my Copics. I also used my Nesties (scalloped rectangles). I also used my Scalloped trim border punch on the riding hood red and topped it with some Chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon. There you have it, my creation for The Pink Elephant challenge! Enjoy my friends and I will see you real soon!
